Why I Started a Jewelry Brand?

People ask me this all the time and I never know how to give them a one-line answer.

Because it wasn’t about wanting to sell something.

It was about wanting to bring something back — to myself, first.

Jewelry has always meant more to me than an accessory. It’s how I mark time.

A gemstone I wore when something began.

A silver band I never took off during a hard year.

A piece gifted to me that outlasted the person who gave it.

I didn’t want to create just another product.
I wanted to build belonging.

Something that felt like “yours” the moment you touched it.

Something that didn’t come with a trend cycle.

Something you’d keep in a drawer you open when you're looking for comfort.

That’s how 224 began.

Not in a studio. Not in a showroom.
But in real, ordinary moments —

In Goa, barefoot, sketching things that felt honest.

In Jaipur’s workshops, learning the silence in a karigar’s focus.

In Mumbai, packing orders at midnight, knowing someone somewhere is about to open a little box of intention.

This brand is not loud. It’s not everywhere.
But it’s felt — deeply.

In the clasp that holds your necklace together.

In the weight of a ring you twist when you’re nervous.

In the story no one else knows, but you do.

So, why jewelry?
Because it lets me speak — without saying a word and now, maybe, it lets you do the same.
